Verity

While Colleen Hoover is a Romance author, Verity is very much a Thriller. The kind that will keep you on the edge of your seat and possibly up at night!

You just can’t escape Heidi’s charm! There’s something about this woman that just makes you want to be her friend. For this book, Andi Arndt teamed up with Tara Sivec, not just to narrate but also to co-write the story about podcasts, audio-narrations, and love.

The A.I. Who Loved Me

written by Alyssa Cole, narrated by Regina Hall, Feodor Chin, and a full cast

This is one of my personal favorites of the year. The audiobook is a fantastic production with the best of all worlds, in parts multi-cast audio-play (including Mindy Kaling, Therese Plummer, Dina Pearlman, Neil Hellegers, Adenrele Ojo, and Kyla Garcia), but with single narration during chapters. That makes it easy to follow and still gives you the epic feel of a play. The story is entirely captivating and so deeply romantic, the twist almost brought me to tears.

Teach Me

written by Alexandria House, narrated by Jakobi Diem and Adenrele Ojo

This super hot Romance made big waves and has 1000 ratings only 2 months after release, with 4.7 stars! In Teach Me, a very buttoned-up professor falls for her ex-football-player, single-dad student.

The Bride Test

written by Helen Hoang, narrated by Emily Woo Zeller

With The Kiss Quotient being one of the most popular Romance titles of 2018, it’s no surprise that the sequel The Bride Test also became a fan-favorite. Especially since it’s a fake engagement story!

The Dirty Mafia Duet

written by Meghan March, narrated by Andi Arndt and Sebastian York

Black Sheep has everything you’d hope for in a Romantic Suspense. While I personally couldn’t connect quite so well with the second part, White Knight, it’s a duet that definitely stays with you and leaves an impression.

Marriage For One

written by Ella Maise, narrated by Stella Bloom and Lance Greenfield

Marriage For One might be my biggest regret of 2019! Why? Because I didn’t listen to it yet! Somehow, it slipped my mind. I absolutely love marriage of convenience stories and this one seems to be doing it particularly well.

Slashes in the Snow

written by M. Never, narrated by Jacob Morgan, Ryan West, and Muffy Newtown

Are you also one of those people who are super intrigued whenever they spot three narrators for one book? Yeah, me too! And if one of them is Jacob Morgan… Well, just one more good reason why this Romantic Suspense is so popular!

Coldhearted Boss

written by R.S. Grey, narrated by Lauren Thomas and Edward Barnes

R.S. Grey is the queen of enemies-to-lovers Rom-Com. I know I can never go wrong with one of her books. While I absolutely adored Make Me Bad which was also released in 2019 and is available in Audible Escape, Coldhearted Boss is even more popular.

Repeat

written by Kylie Scott, narrated by Andi Arndt

When I downloaded Repeat back in January, I didn’t have many expectations. An Amnesia story? That’s so 1990s Rom-Com movie! Right? Well, I pretty quickly learned how wrong my snobby ways were. This love story is everything! It’s as amazing as its cover and completely captivated me.

written by Kendall Ryan, narrated by Jason Clarke and Virginia Rose

So many of you fell in love with this Sports Romance, and not only because of the amazing narrators! An unrequited crush on the brother’s best friend and a one night stand set up this love story and made it one of the best audiobooks of 2019 in Audible Escape according to the listeners.

The Rising Series

written by Kristen Ashley, narrated by a full cast

The Rising Series is one of Audible’s big new projects. In 2019, the first two parts have become available with the last two set to be released in January and February 2020. This epic Fantasy Romance is narrated by an equally epic full cast with Liz Thompson, Dina Pearlman, Stella Bloom, Joniece Abbott Pratt, Esther Wane, Gemma Dawson, Robin Miles, Clara Francesca, Lance Greenfield, Jakobi Diem, Ralph Lister, John Hartley, Rupert Channing, and Sarah Coomes.

In the Unlikely Event

written by L.J. Shen, narrated by Joe Arden, Shane East, Muffy Newtown, and Savannah Peachwood

L.J. Shen could be called the Queen of Angsty Romance. But for In The Unlikely Event, she mixed in more of her humor and light moments as well. The list of narrators speaks for itself and is one more reason why this book is so popular only a month after release.
