The 21 Best New Audible Plus Books – Summer 2021

Audible adds new audiobooks to the Plus catalog all the time. So, let’s take a look at the best Audible Plus books in Summer 2021!

Audible has been particularly good to Romance listeners lately. Mystic Bayou by Molly Harper, one of our favorite series from the Audible Escape days, is once again available to borrow, and, on top of that, has a brand-new book! Cara Bastone has an adorable new book in Audible Plus and so does Penny Reid. But I have also found some fantastic new audiobooks for fans of Thrillers, SF/F, and General Fiction!

In the list below, you can find the most popular new releases, the ones subscribers consider among the best Audible Plus books, from the last 3 months. I try to feature only stand-alone titles or books for which the entire series (or at least all earlier titles) are included in Audible Plus.

Sometimes, books might be removed again from the Audible Plus catalog. The following audiobooks were all included as of June 12th, 2021.

Sweet Talk

Add it to your library**

Stay up all night with this funny, surprising romantic comedy from Audie Award nominee Cara Bastone – scripted exclusively for audio! It’s officially booty o’clock, I’m alone again in my kitchen choking down a slice of terrible chocolate cake…and I’m pretty sure I just got drunk texted by the man I have a ginormous crush on. I’ve been daydreaming about Eliot Hoffman’s dimples for two months, and even though I’m sure this was a mistake on his end, it doesn’t mean it’s not an opportunity on mine.

Sweet Talk by Cara Bastone is one of the funniest and cutest books I’ve listened to this year, it’s actually – in my opinion – one of the best Romance audiobooks of 2021! If you loved Call Me Maybe, I’m sure you will enjoy this one just as much. This audiobook is also on the list of my favorite Online Love and Hidden Identity Romance Books.

I adored Repeat, and Pause by Kylie Scott is just as captivating! The Friends to Lovers storyline with Andi Arndt’s wonderful narration made me binge this in one day. By the way, this is the story of Ed’s hot younger brother!

The Perfect Play

G.S. Carr (Author), Trei Taylor (Narrator), Ryan Kailbourne (Narrator)
Add it to your library**

In this romantic-comedy novella, the sexiest player in the NFL and a small-town librarian prove that when opposites attract, their chemistry can be game changing. Simone Thompson wakes up in a Vegas hotel suite to discover three things: Her headache might kill her. The guy spooned behind her isn’t some random Vegas hookup…it’s James Sumner, the NFL’s bad-boy wide-receiver and her twin brother’s teammate. There’s a ring on her finger – you know…the finger.

I enjoyed this take on the “whoops, woke up hungover and married in Vegas”-theme very much. Such a cute story and I am in love with Trei Taylor’s voice!
