It’s kind of crazy, but Lovely Audiobooks, my little audiobook blog, has been around for a whole year now!
Thank you all so much for reading my posts and taking the time to share them. I can’t really put in words how much it means to me to see that something I’ve written is entertaining for you or maybe even useful. ❤️
(… the world, actually. It means the world to me. 🥰 )
To celebrate, I want to give away my very favorite thing, an Audible credit that you can use for any audiobook you’ve been lusting after. And I’d like to reminisce a bit…
Lovely Audiobooks then
About two years ago or so, I was looking for a review for an audiobook I wanted to buy. But I couldn’t find anything that seemed like a personal opinion and not just promotion.
So I thought to myself if no one else wrote a book blog review for this audiobook, then maybe I should do it.
And that’s really all there was to it!
The idea just wouldn’t go away and I kept taking notes for any audiobook I listened to. Then a name popped into my mind, Lovely Audiobooks. But I kept dragging my feet until one day, I simply did it. I bought the domain, got the hosting plan, and started to publish my audiobook reviews.
… and Lovely Audiobooks now!
Over the last year, so many things happened. What was initially just a collection of audiobook reviews, grew into recommendation lists, release lists, and articles about audiobook life.
My Facebook group popped into existence in September 2018 and has grown into a happy audiobookish place.
And only last month, I took the plunge and started a newsletter. Twice a month, I send out a little email with audiobook news, recommendations, and my latest blog posts.
My 5 Favorite Blog Posts
This right here is actually my 200th blog post!
I’ve learned a lot over the last year. I got into the practice of writing again and found out what I want to focus on. There’s still a bunch of blog posts that didn’t really turn out the way I had wished, or that could really use an update. But I also, fortunately, have a few I like 😄
The post that was most fun to research and write was definitely 5 Things You Didn’t Know About Audiobooks.
The article that I felt was the most important to write was the one about the history of audiobooks and why it matters.
My most shared post is a list of my favorite Fantasy audiobooks in Kindle Unlimited.
The one that was read the most is a list of my favorite Enemies to Lovers audiobooks.
And my most popular post for book bloggers and reviewers is a guide on where to find free audiobook review copies.
You can win 1 Audible credit for an audiobook of your choice 😊
Do as many of the steps as you like. The more you do, the better your chances to win.
